VBS Parents Guide - 2025

We are excited to learn about trusting Jesus in a wild world at TRUE NORTH. Please review the following information before submitting your child’s VBS Registration:

Drop Off and Pick Up:
- Drop off and pick up your child in the same assigned color area in the Sanctuary each day.
- Familiarize yourself with your child’s color and where it is located in the Sanctuary map (Colors will be assigned with crew assignments in May).
- Familiarize yourself with the Crew Leader and Crew Directors that will be assigned to your child’s crew (Assigned in May).
- When picking up, please be prepared to show a picture ID. Inform alternate pick up people that they may need to show ID.
- Drop Off can be done between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. (Doors do not open until 8:45 a.m.)
- Pick Up can be after closing between 12:00 noon and 12:10 p.m. (Please, no later than 12:10)

Late Drop Off and Early Pick Up:
- Children that need to be dropped off late must check in at the office upon arrival.
- Please inform the Crew Director (Adult Leader assigned to your child’s crew) or Crew Leader (Youth leader assigned to your child’s crew) during drop off that an early pick up will be necessary.
- Early Pick up will take place in the office. Check in with the office staff when you arrive and they will communicate with your child’s leaders to bring them to the office to meet you.
- Please be prepared to show a picture ID.
- Children will only be released to adults and parents authorized on registration information.

Closing:
- Parents who want to watch the closing are invited to quietly stand in the back of the Sanctuary or outside in the breezeway. Closing begins at 11:40 p.m. Parents who want to connect and converse with other parents are invited to do so outside of viewing area as to not distract the participants or other parents participating.

Phones:
-Phones are not allowed at TRUE NORTH VBS for anyone under 21 years old. All participants and volunteers are encouraged to leave all phones and smart devices at home. Any phones brought on campus will need to be left in the office in the phone caddie until after VBS at noon. Phones have become distracting for our goals at VBS, so we thank you for your help and understanding.

Clothing:
- Please have your child wear their Crew color (assigned in May) either with the provided VBS shirt (Available to pick up in June) or another shirt of the same color.
- No flip-flops. Please have your child wear closed toe shoes.
- Weather permitting, games will be played outside or under the breezeway. You may provide a hat for them to wear or even send them wearing sunscreen.

Snacks:
- Snacks will be provided each day for participants.
- Only children with medical reasons or allergies are invited to bring their own alternative snack.
Changes and Cancellations:
- Please notify the Church Office staff if there are any changes to your child’s registration or if your child will be unable to attend VBS.

Important Dates:
Snack Schedule Shared: May 19th, 2025
Anticipated Crew Assignments: Monday, May 19th
T-shirt Pick Up Week: June 2-6 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
VBS: June 9-13, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
VBS Worship Celebration for everyone: June 15, 2025
